CARLSBAD-- (BUSINESS WIRE)—Feb. 10,
2004—EMS Consulting Group has just announced a series of lean manufacturing
seminars and workshops to be held in the San Diego and Los Angeles / Orange
County areas. Attendees will learn how to achieve lower costs, improved quality
and productivity, reduced product development time-to-market, and increased
customer satisfaction. Focusing on the principles of lean manufacturing, they are
designed for business owners, presidents, controllers, plant managers,
engineers, anyone responsible for cost management or the manufacturing process,
as well as anyone in the organization who can benefit and apply concepts to
their areas of responsibility. Participants
will have an opportunity to learn, experience, and ask questions about lean
manufacturing principles. Implementing Lean: An
Action Plan is a 1/2-day seminar in which attendees will learn the benefits of
lean manufacturing as well as a specific sequence of steps and initiatives
required to implement Lean Manufacturing at their organizations.
This seminar will be held at the Ayres Inn in Orange, CA on March 9th
and at the Inns of America Suites in Carlsbad, CA on March 11th.
Running from 11:30am through 4:00pm, these seminars cost $150 for
attendees who register before February 13th and $180 for those who
register after. When asked about his experience at the last Implementing Lean
seminar, Kevin Stotmeister, President and CEO of Federal Heath Sign Company

frame." “I gained a
solid overview of lean,” Hans Friedebach, an executive with Ergotron, said,
“a lot of value for the time spent." Full-day workshops, which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30

These workshops cost $475 per attendee.
