EMS developed a custom training
and implementation program for a plastic injection molding company located in
Los Angeles, CA. Over a one week period, EMS consultants trained
and facilitated the successful implementation of a new changeover
process. Changes included fixture/equipment modifications,
standardized work, and layout changes/5S implementation. Implementation resulted in a reduction in changeover time
of over 50% and a corresponding reduction in WIP inventory. This
freed up much-needed floorspace for expanding product lines.
