EMS developed a custom training
and implementation program for a medical device company located in
Orange County, CA. Over a one week period, EMS consultants trained
and facilitated the successful implementation of a new assembly cell
layout and standard work. The original layout included multiple
products and multi-directional workflows. The resulting layout was
3 individual cells that resulted in a 50% reduction in manufacturing
cycle time, a 70% productivity improvement and a 30% reduction in
floor-space used. Resulting cost savings was in the $100K's
