Based on interviews and on-site
observation, EMS Consulting Group developed a customized lean
certification training program to suit the needs of a medical device
manufacturer in southern California. EMS helped to identify two
core lean teams plus other individuals that were to participate in the
training. The program was comprehensive in that it included
executive training, kaizen team training, and operator training.
The program was administered over a 3-month period and included several
team projects including kaizen events. Several of the initial
kaizen events were facilitated by EMS. After these events, the
client was able to leverage the training and experience and conduct
events internally.
