Lean Presentations

Last month, we provided you with a discussion of barriers and opportunities with respect to lean implementation.  This month, we will talk about using pull systems to create a lean production control system. Letting the customer pull product through value stream is a key principle of lean and the Toyota Production System.

This month we feature four articles that should help you understand the methodologies behind pull systems.  First, we have an article on Lean Production Control.  Next, we give you a case study in which a pull system was put in place for an injection molding and assembly operation.  Our third article talks about the basics of lean production control using pull.  Finally, in our fourth article, we talk about a lean production planning tool we call the interval or EPEI.

The materials referenced in this newsletter will teach you more about lean.  If you would like to learn more, feel free to call us at 866-559-5598 or visit our website and click on "Contact Us."
