Lean Beyond Manufacturing

This month's newsletter focuses on the application of lean to non-manufacturing environments such as offices, service organizations, and hospitals. All processes that have customers contain waste. Think of any service organization with which you do business including banks, medical offices, supermarkets, etc. There are many non-value added processes going on- processes that you would not be willing to pay for given a choice.
