Lean for the Entire Supply Chain

In this issue, we feature three more articles that should help you understand more about creating a lean supply chain.  One of the biggest issues in creating a lean supply chain is ensuring that your suppliers have achieved operational stability, which is the foundation of the Toyota Production System.  Firstly, on our Lean Supply Chain blog, we offer you a brief discussion on operational stability and its relevance to the entire supply chain .  Our second article talks about the tools of operational stability.  In our third article, we focus on SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die), a tool that is often critical to achieving operational stability and leveling in a supply chain.

The materials referenced in this newsletter will teach you more about lean.  If you would like to learn more, feel free to call us at 866-559-5598 or visit our website and click on "Contact Us."
