Lean Learning

Last month we talked about one of the most effective methods of change, kaizen events.  Very often, kaizen events aimed at one-piece flow do not sustain well because operational stability is not in place.  This month we will cover the tools that will help achieve the stability necessary for one-piece flow implementation.

This month we feature four articles that should help you understand more about achieving basic stability.  Firstly, we give you an overview of basic stability; this will teach you what basic stability is and why you need it prior to achieving one-piece flow.  Our second article talks about implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM); our third article talks about implementing 5S.  In our fourth article, we talk about sustaining a 5S program.

The materials referenced in this newsletter will teach you more about lean.  If you would like to learn more, feel free to call us at 866-559-5598 or visit our website and click on "Contact Us."
