When continuous improvement practitioners talk about kaizen, they generally mean "change for the better" or "many small changes for the better." A kaizen event is a way of rapidly changing one process or area for the better. If done correctly, it can be a springboard to continuous improvement. When done incorrectly, it can give the concept of "kaizen" a bad name. In this editiion, we have three articles that will help you understand the importance of kaizen, kaizen events, and how to do them correctly. The materials referenced in this newsletter will teach you more about lean and six sigma.
