Level Loading and Pull Systems Welcome to the September edition of our monthly newsletter, Learning to Lean. In this month's edition, we focus on creating level pull systems, one of the keys to lean manufacturing success. We can also bring any of these courses to your facility. Click on the dates to read more details on each class and/or to register.
Click here for details on all of our training offerings, both on-site at your facility and public. We also have created a survey in which you can tell us what types of public courses you would like to see us offer. Click here to take our survey. Creating a Level Pull System Creating pull systems seems simple in concept to many; however, implementation is often plagued with difficulties leading to a pseudo-lean production system that doesn't bring all of the promised benefits. This month we feature three articles that should help you understand more about pull systems and level loading. Firstly, we give you an overview of heijunka, or level loading. Our second article talks about the steps you need to take in order to implement a level pull system. In our final article, we talk more about setting up pull systems. The materials referenced in this newsletter will teach you more about the importance of creating level pull. If the articles, links, and books to the left have piqued your interest and you would like to learn more, feel free to call us at 866-559-5598 or visit our website and click on "Contact Us."
