Season's Greetings! Welcome to the December 2008 edition of our monthly newsletter, Learning to Lean. In this month's edition, we focus on lean leadership and culture.

Announcements

We have recently announced dates for our 2009 lean manufacturing and lean office certificate programs. Below is our 2009 schedule of lean workshops. All sessions will take place at the Doubletree Club Hotel Orange County Airport in Santa Ana, CA. The lean manufacturing certification program is $2695 per person; the lean office program is $1595 per person. There is a $200 discount available for those who register by December 31st. Single-day workshops will be available for individual registration beginning in January.

Lean Leadership and Culture

In last month's issue, we discussed the need to implement lean given today's economic crisis. We also talked about building a foundation for lean. The right type of leadership fosters a continuous improvement culture. What are the ingredients to such a culture?
