								  This interactive session will translate 
								  lean strategies, methods, and tools and their application to 
								  achieve the Triple Aim of the nation’s health 
								  care reform efforts. This hands-on three day 
								  certificate program will emphasize planning 
								  and implementing improvement throughout the health care continuum including ambulatory and administrative processes, beyond the inpatient settings, using lean tools 
								  and methods such as Strategy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, 
								  Continuous Flow and Pull, and A3 Problem 
								  Solving. 
								  Upon completion, participants will receive a 
								  Lean Healthcare certificate (Certified Lean

At the end of the three-day training program, the participants will be able to:
Articulate the key success factors of implementing lean in a health care organization to improve quality and decrease cost of care.
Articulate the 5 principles of Lean and the 14 Principles of the Toyota Way.
Understand the Lean Transformation Model from Strategy Deployment to Daily 
Kaizen
	Identify 8 types of wastes in health care organizations.
Create a Value Stream Map for a clinical and administrative processes in the health care setting.
Apply lean principles to create a lean future state and implementation plan using the VSM as a planning tool.
Apply key kaizen tools to improve productivity and quality for both clinical and administrative operations.
Understand the steps to planning and facilitating a kaizen event.
	Apply Team Facilitation techniques to facilitate improvement activities.
Use the PDCA/PDSA methodology for A-3 problem solving.
	Use basic problem solving tools including 5 Why's, Fishbone/Cause and 
	Effect Diagram, Process Map, and Pareto Chart.
	Use the Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata for Daily Kaizen.
